General Wheelchair Accessible Bedrooms and En-suite Bathrooms
Each en-suite bathroom in the accessible room is step-free and features a walk-in shower, a low-mounted sink, a toilet seat designed for guests with disabilities, and support rails.
All accessible bathrooms are equipped with an emergency button, which is connected to our 24-hour reception.
A fridge for the storage of medication and food is available in guest rooms upon request.
Access to Public Areas
The hotel offers step-free access from the main entrance to all key areas, including the reception, restaurant, bar, meeting rooms, and leisure facilities.
Designated areas of refuge are available for guests who may require assistance during an emergency evacuation.
Access to the upper floors is provided by lifts, including a platform stairlift providing access to the Upper Bar area.
Gluten-free and lactose-intolerant dietary options are available both in the bar and restaurant.
Getting here
By Car:
We are easily accessible from Dublin
Travel south on the M7 towards Limerick/Cork.
Take Exit 16 (signposted for Portlaoise/Carlow).
Follow the signs for Portlaoise Town.
The hotel will be on your right, located on the Dublin Road (N7).
Our hotel offers six accessible parking spaces, located both at the front of the building and in the underground car park. From the underground car park, reception can be reached via the lift. The closest accessible parking space is approximately 50 metres from the step-free main entrance.
By Train:
The nearest railway station to the hotel is Portlaoise Railway Station which is located 1.4 miles away.
- The station has level access to Platform 2 (easier for wheelchair users).
- Platform 1 is accessible via a footbridge with a lift.
